To enhance the capacities of HIV/AIDS infected and affected families to increase alternate income sources through income generating activities.

To develop stronger livelihood support systems.

To improve the overall standard of living and empowerment of HIV/AIDS families and enhance the self reliance and sense of dignity.

To Support the SHGs to practice thrift and credit and internal lending

To increase income levels of the HIV/AIDS affected and infected families in the process of reducing migration simultaneously the poverty

| Strategy approached |
Economic Empowerment through self-help groups and community based rehabilitation
- Developed the concept of SHGs amongst the care givers, PLHA as part of the economic empowerment. About 200 such groups have been developed.
- Each member contributes about Rs.30 per month (1 rupee per day). All the banks have given loans to our groups.
- Vocational training - to caregiver, PLHA; elder children are being provided with various skill building trainings like, tailoring, IT based courses etc
